HSM4
Embedded version of ZYMKEY4 for customer integration
HSM4 is a legacy product. It remains documented and supported, but new
designs should use a current product.

- HSM4 (legacy) — hardware, installation, and integration
Common tasks
- Install or upgrade the Zymbit Driver Package (Driver Package 2.0 requires a 64-bit OS. Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 11, and 32-bit systems use the 1.x instructions, except production ZYMKEY5, which requires 2.0.)
- Detect physical tampering (Wiring differs per product. The shared SEN page still needs SEN 400 and SEN 500 connections.)
- Lock a device for production (Binding is permanent and cannot be reversed.)
- Encrypt the root filesystem (The process is the same across all supported products.)
- Encrypt sensor data on disk (The process is the same across all supported products.)
- Connect to AWS IoT
- Free up GPIO4 (All of these use GPIO4 as the I2C handshake. The software change is identical; the wiring diagram shows Zymkey4.)
